Community & Education
The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation showcases Race Point Lighthouse to the public as part of our charter.
Some of the highlights:
• Receiving and coordinating requests for community based non-profit group access to and use of the Race Point property
• Encouraging greater public access to the Race Point Lighthouse by planning tours and other activities throughout the year
• Developing and supporting educational programs and other activities consistent with the Cape Cod Chapter’s mission statement

The Race Point Lighthouse will be open for visitors to tour the lighthouse on the first and third Saturdays from May until October. The lighthouse will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Our volunteers staff the lighthouse. You can get to the lighthouse by walking, your own four-wheel drive vehicle (with the proper permit).
Touring dates for 2008:
• May 18th (Mariner's Weekend) We provide transportation to the lighthouse this day. Join us for light refreshments and a spectacular view! Tours run from 10am to 3pm.
• June 7, 21
• July 5, 19
• August 2, 16
• September 6, 20
• October 4
Please stop by the lighthouse and bring your camera. There is even a Gift Shop! All proceeds directly benefit Race Point Lighthouse.
